Epson Unveils First Eever Value-Priced Projectors, beyond FHD & HD for businesses

Epson, the world’s number one projector maker, is redefining the market for business projectors with its first value-priced WUXGA projectors that deliver superb high-resolution images beyond Full HD video and other graphics-intensive content.

Supporting a Widescreen Ultra Extended Array (WUXGA) resolution of 1,920x1,200 pixels that goes beyond Full HD, the EB-U32 and EB-U04 promise eye-popping images, distortion-free video, plus enhanced color and white brightness of over 3,000 lumens.

The two new projectors are part of value-priced projectors that delivers industry-leading features that many businesses around the world depend on for high quality color projections.

Unlike other 1-chip projectors, Epson projectors are not susceptible to the “rainbow effect” – a limitation of the 1-chip technology that occurs while projecting darker moving images.

That is because all Epson projectors are powered by Epson’s proprietary 3LCD technology that produces vibrant color projections and smooth projections of movies without color breakup. They also deliver up to 3 times higher color brightness and up to 3 times wider color gamut than 1-chip projectors.

Seamless connectivity and usability
Epson business projectors have been built with seamless connectivity and usability in mind.

The EB-U32  comes with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity that  enables users easily share and transmit images, text and files from smart devices using the iProjection app. Separate wireless LAN adaptors are also available for other projector models of the same series.

And with multiple connectivity options, including HDMI, VGA, and LAN, businesses can connect a plethora of content sources with ease. The EB-U04 and EB-U32 even comes with two HDMI ports, one of which supports MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) that can be used to hook up a compatible smart device to mirror HD content on the big screen. Once connected, the device can be operated and charged using the projector’s remote control.

Setting up projectors is also a cinch, thanks to Epson’s iProjection app, which lets users connect their smart devices to an Epson projector by scanning a QR code on the projected screen.

In addition, the projectors feature a built-in horizontal keystone adjuster, a physical slider that can be used to correct keystone distortions caused when the projector is placed at an angle to the projection surface.

Furthermore, with automatic vertical keystone detection and adjustment, there is no longer a need for manual image adjustments that interrupt the smooth flow of presentations. This handy feature automatically detects the projector’s vertical keystone distortion and corrects it instantly.

The new projectors also feature a new home screen that displays source information, and puts frequently used functions at your fingertips. They are also capable of detecting input sources automatically, making it easy for executives to kick off their presentations right after a content source is connected.

Longer lamp lifespan
In line with Epson’s commitment to environmental conservation, the new projectors now come with projection lamps that last for 10,000 hours in eco-mode and filter maintance cycle increases to 10,000 hours.

The longer lifespan of the lamps not only reduces electronic waste, it also brings cost savings for businesses while minimizing the need to maintain a projector’s air filter. This is equivalent to using the projector for 3.5 years with usage of 8hrs per day for 365 days per year.

Epson made lamp replacement easy without having to remove the projector from its ceiling mount. That is because  the lamp cover is located on the upper side of the projector.

The launch of the new projectors cements Epson’s position as the world’s leading provider of business projectors that offer innovative technology, high quality and performance. It also underscores Epson’s commitment to deliver world-class projection technology to more customers.

Siew Jin Kiat, General Manager, Visual Instruments Division, Epson Southeast Asia, said: “For the first time, businesses can enjoy the high color and white brightness performance of Epson projectors at competitive prices. In particular, our first entry-level WUXGA projectors, the EB-U32 and EB-U04, allow us to deliver beyond Full HD images to customers who are looking for a value-for-money projector to deliver more impactful presentations.”
