The past few days, I really anticipated the recenly-concluded Globe Slipstream 2.0 in Bonifacio Global City with our very own Prince of Speed Marlon Stockinger.
First off last June 27 at Ascott BGC when he had his 2nd presscon (the first one was actually minutes after he arrived here last Tuesday night) with select media from TV, radio and online. Marlon said that in case that he will gonna be successful to be at F1, he is willing to help on those potential Pinoy talents that will be following his footsteps.
June 28, 2015 - I missed the first Slipstream event but for me this is quite sweeter as the event was more focused on the Prince of Speed. As early as 11 am, selected roads at BGC were already had some metal barriers and bouncers to ensure safety. Various car clubs, Ducati Philippines, Marlon's former GoKart teammates and even the local racing legend Mike Potenciano were also there for the parade and support for the event. There were also some fun activities at Bonifacio High Street from sponsors.
The parade started at around 1 pm which started at 3rd Avenue (where the media center was there for us) and with a smile, Marlon rode a special edition Globe Slipstream 2.0 jeep. After a few minutes, he had some rounds and exhibitions of his Lotus car. The adrenalin was far behind from what I usually saw on F1 on TV. Even when I tried to shoot a video, it will only take about 1 to 2 seconds on my frame.
There were also some Globe Slipstream 2.0 giveaways to the crowd. Those girl fans of him even had some chance to hug and kiss him. After this 2nd round of his exhibition (which happened minutes before 5 pm) , he really showed some love to the crowd by taking a lot of groufie. Both the press event and show day were hosted by James Deakin which he really did a wonderful job.
Well, my pictures below will tell more of what a wonderful weekend indeed thanks to Globe Slipstream 2.0
