I was able to do a lil hands-on of one of the 2 variants of MyPhone Infinity 2 Lite. The one that I experienced is the 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM model.
These are the front and back portions of the box which took a different direction in motif compared to the box of the first MyPhone Infinity Lite.
The front has 5 inch HD display with 5 MP front camera. The phone has Android 4.4 Kitkat but it has on-screen buttons. The back is removable and it has the same texture as the MyPhone Rio 2 demo unit that I previously blogged. The back has 13 MP rear camera, micro SD slot expandable up to 32 GB and dual micro sim. The battery is built-in at 2,400 mAh battery. You already have a glimpse of it's Antutu score at 27,502. This one has 1.4 GHz Mediatek MT6592 octa-core processor.
The top has Full CTIA 3.5 mm. audio jack while micro USB and pin hole mic at the bottom. Unlike in Infinity Lite, Infinity Lite 2 doesn't have USB OTG support which is a downer for me.
Coz of limited time, I was not able to check the sides and front camera sample but it's rear camera sample is not bad at all (shot at Satchmi in SM Megamall)
MP Infinity Lite 2 has still the same smoothness that I love like it's previous offering. Out of 16 GB ROM, it has around 11 GB of app storage which I think I can be more (at around 13 to 14 GB). The camera shuttle speed is still fast for my standards.
I wonder if the 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM variant has USB OTG support which must be only a regular thing in upcoming smartphones soon. It is already available in some MyPhone authorized dealers for Php 8,399.
Credits to Peter and Angel of GeekyPinas for allowing me to check their MyPhone Infinity 2 Lite review unit.
