This is the industry's first Tri-Cluster CPU architecture which has a set-up of TINY.MEDIUM.HUGE. Tiny has 4 cores of 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 for power efficiency. Medium has 4 cores of 2 GHz Cortex-A53 for best performance and power balance and 2 cores of massive 2.5 GHz Cortex-A72 for really heavy tasks.
To give us an idea on how powerful MT6797 is, the source got an unverified Antutu score of 70,366. So far, the most powerful smartphone based on Antutu is Samsung Galaxy S6 at over 67,000
