In it's first global launch in India, Xiaomi recently unveiled their latest, it's the Mi 4i smartphone.
The device has 5 inch Sharp JDI OGS display with Full HD resolution, Android Lollipop with MIUI 6, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2 GB LP DDR3 RAM, 16 GB ROM, 13 MP rear camera with Sony/Samsung sensor and two-tone flash, dual sim, dual LTE, WiFi AC, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4,1 and huge 3,120 mAh battery in a plastic unibody design. In a video presentation which they tested the device in a simulated rain test for 10 minutes, it still works good but they clarified that the Mi 4i is not a water resistant phone.
According to Hugo Barra of Xiaomi, the phablet has the 2nd generation Snapdragon 615 processor with 1.7 GHz quad-core for heavy tasks + 1.1 GHz quad-core for light tasks (compared to 1st generation Snapdragon 615 with 1.5 GHz quad-core and 1 GHz quad-core).
It will be available in India's FlipKart.com starting on April 30. It will be available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia this May. The price of Mi 4i in India is 12,999 Rupees or around Php 9079,43 converted in Philippine peso.
