MyPhone Uno first impressions, hands-on

Finally, I already have an Android One device to review. This one is from known local mobile phone brand MyPhone. Meet the Uno.

You can see the front and back portions of the box. I love the compact packaging of the Uno which reminds me of MyPhone Infinity Lite.

You can choose between the white and black for the Uno. The one that it's in my blog post right now is the black one. The front has 4.5 inch FWVGA display, 2 MP front camera and their "outside plastic covering" (as they said based on the previous MyPhone reviews that I had) which is sturdier than the other MyPhone devices that I had. The back has the 5 MP AF rear camera with flash, matte back cover with MyPhone  and Android One logos and single speaker. Yes, it has matte finish but if you have a lil sweaty hands, it can create some wet marks. The "circle" acts like a protection to the protuded rear camera and flash which is more noticeable if you will remove the back cover. It is powered by 1.3 Ghz Mediatek MT6582 quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM.

The top has the 3.5 mm. audio jack while it's the micro USB port and microphone at the bottom.

Nothing on the left as you can locate the power/unlock button and volume rocker at the right side.

The package includes the warranty certificate, instructional guide, micro USB to USB cable, 1 ampere travel charger and earphones with mic and pause/play button.. There's also a free 8 GB micro SD card (the one that I had was a class 6 micro SD) and Globe 3G-only dual-cut prepaid SIM with 100 MB mobile internet good for 15 days and for 12 months. Some of my fellow tech bloggers got the one with Smart prepaid SIM card with free mobile internet and load rebate. When I asked about it on a MyPhone official, they don't have the list of MyPhone branches which sell MyPhone Uno with free Globe or Smart sim. Well, if you already comfortable in your telco then you can have an option to ask your nearest MyPhone store or retailer on the free sim card that they have. Free mobile internet for a few months is a big help both for everyday use and for updating apps.

Well, that's it for now. Expect more details in my upcoming review soon. MyPhone Uno is available in MyPhone stores and authorized retailers for Php 4,599
