Torque's main highlight for their event late last year was their "Headturners" which leads to their newest smartphones and tablets with rotating camera. That made me decide to take one on my review table. Here's the Torque Droidz Swivel.
Here are the front and back portions of the box. A typical Torque box with that cardboard-like background color.
The front portion has the 4.7 inch qHD display with the 8 MP rotating camera, proximity and light sensors. The back has the Torque branding and the model name. The back cover design was inspired (I think) from the Galaxy Note 3 with those stitches around the cover and that faux leather.
The bottom has the 3.5 mm. audio jack and micro USB slot
Nothing to expect on the left part as the volume rocker and power/unlock button can be seen on the right side.
Aside from the smartphone, expect the usual essentials like the instructional manual, warranty certificate, travel charger, earbuds, micro USB to USB cable. Bonus that it comes with a screen protector. The charger has 1 A output.
First impressions: The device has about 90% stock Android UI. Good thing, this device comes with a system update (which I hope that it will really work in the near future when an important update arrives). I had difficulty though in my first 24-48 hours of usage on removing and closing the back cover. To open it, you have to slide it down and vice versa when you close it.
That's it for now for the Torque Droidz Swivel. Expect my review of this device soon.
