It’s quite rare for a known local mobile brand like Torque (the last one that I knew was about October of last year) but this event was worth it as they launched a lot of Android smartphones and tablets.
Led by their President and CEO Mr. Cris Uyco, they presented the “headturners”. It means that they have 2 smartphones and 2 tablets with rotating camera. For smartphones, you can have the quad-core Droidz Swivel (Php 4,599) and the Droidz Pivot (Php 4,999) . If I’m not mistaken, Torque is the first local tablet brand to have the rotating camera which is quite ingenious. Apparently, both tablets are also running on a quad-core procsseor, the Droidz Rotate and Droidz Axis.
As I roamed around the event, the Headturners were also not the ones who caught my attention. I saw for the first time, the Droidz Marvel HD (it is not the Droidz Marvel FHD) priced at Php 6899, their 1st LTE smartphone – Droidz Punch LTE, their other octa-core Droidz Octave priced at Php 6399 and the newest most affordable octa-core tablet in the land, the Droidz Extreme FHD (actually, it has 1920 x 1200 resolution) at Php 7,999
The 4 devices as well as their new devices will be out this 3rd week of the month. Expect for my first impressions of some of their new Android devices in my upcoming blog posts.
