Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure specs, price, unboxing, first impressions (update!)

Like what I said from the Cherry Mobile The Captain’s Ball event blog post, me and some of my fellow tech bloggers got surprised with two of the brand’s newest octa-core phones. One of the them is on my review table, the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure

This phablet has a 1.4 GHz Mediatek octa-core processor with 5 inch IPS HD LCD display, 8 MP Sony rear camera with flash, dual sim and HSPA+ connectivity.

This is the front which you can see the key specs and the 2 MP front camera. I will confirm soon if this device has a scratch resistant glass.

The back which is removable but the battery is not user replaceable. You can put in the 2 regular sim slots and a micro SD slot. The back cover has a matte finish so no problems in finger print magnets.

The top which has the micro USB slot and the 3.5 mm. audio jack. The bottom has nothing to offer

The left hand side which has the volume rocker while on the right hand side, you can check the power/unlock button. It’s my first time to encounter this particular set-up which looks like the physical buttons are covered by it’s metal-like siding.

If you remove the back cover, this is what you can expect, the 2 regular sim slots and micro SD slot. Looks like the unibody is familiar from an international smartphone that I recently reviewed.

The main page and the app drawer of the device which looks stock Android to me. What impressed me so far from this device is out of 8 GB ROM, the app storage has around 5.8 GB so it means that it has unified storage.

That’s it for now, you can expect a review of the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure soon. No official info on it’s price yet but a CM official said that it will be out this Mid-December.

Update! According to one CM official, this device doesn't have any scratch resistant glass protection. I also found out more of the dual sim slots which I already updated my specs sheet

Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure specs:

Dual micro sim, dual 3G
Quadband 2G, Dual band 3G
Android 4.4.2 Kitkat
5 inch IPS HD LCD display
8 MP Sony AF rear camera with flash, 2 MP front camera
1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM
WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS
Micro SD expandable
2,100 mAh non-removable battery
Price: Php 4,499 (according to Cherry Angel)
