The fourth edition of the DTI Sikat Pinoy 2014 will be the National Furniture & Furnishings Fair, to be held from November 5-9, 2014, at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Mandated to provide marketing support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in industries where the Philippines has a competitive advantage, the DTI-Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion is bringing a selection of furniture and furnishings manufacturers from the different regions to help them reach a wider domestic market.
According to Usec. Ponciano Manalo Jr. of the DTI Industry Promotion Group, “This is a bright spot for the Philippine economy, and we believe that we are well-placed to be the global design and innovation hub for sustainable furniture and furnishings for the Asian region, by infusing Filipino creativity to the recent trend for more sustainable or green products
Instead of competing in the low-end, mass production market, our furniture manufacturers are shifting to medium and high-end product lines where we have a competitive edge in quality, design and material rather than price.”
In step with the on-going construction boom, the Sikat Pinoy National Furniture & Furnishings Fair is an excellent venue for discovering well-crafted furniture and home accent pieces from all over the country.
