Rare times for me to share my rants into my blog. This time, at the recent MYX Grand Fan Meet 2014 last September 26.
It was the first time that they had an event like this which as suggested to the title, there’s a chance that you can meet your fave MYX VJS. I only knew this thru one of the MYX VJS which I follow on Instagram. Here are the screenshots with one of the event's promotion on Facebook:
September 26, 2014, I arrived an hour before the event started mainly to evade the upcoming Friday afternoon traffic. At first, there’s a little trouble in registration coz of the 2 girls who were there. In the registration sheet, I was no. 53 but when they gave me a separate sheet (which was detached from another paper which I had my name and contact details for the raffle) , I was at no. 48. They had their apologies as they changed my entire list to no. 91
Fast forward to the games that usually do on MYX Olympics and a few production numbers from KZ Tandingan, Young JV and some artists who were featured in the Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2014 album until at the end of the program, they announced that the first 50 who registered will only have a chance to meet and greet the VJS.
I was surprised at that time coz based on my screenshot with the MYX VJ, she forgot to mention that there was this one important rule which I also asked on the “requirements” . I posted this particular sentiment to my IG and I tagged the musicchannel. At first, it had an attempt to block me into their IG page but later in my 2nd status, they allowed me again to follow them.
The music channel said that the “first 50” rule was already mentioned in their FB page, IG page and Twitter days and weeks before the event. I had a response to them which up to this point that they didn’t answer: there’s no “first 50” rule on the graphics. They only had that in the description on those social media accounts plus the fact that (sadly again), I asked one of the MYX VJS which was already a reliable source. I follow the music channel’s FB and IG account before this event. VJ Ai had her apologies also in the screenshot
I just hope that she included that important “first 50 rule” in the screenshot and to MYX for putting that important info right there at the picture. There’s still some space, tsk tsk. I hope that they will have a lesson to my sentiments. What's better if either change the name of this event next year if that limited number can only "meet-and-greet" or lessen the production numbers and more time for MYX VJS, They must be the stars of this event.
