MyPhone Rio LTE official specs, first impressions, price

I did I earlier for the MyPhone Infinity Lite. After it was unleashed at Lazada a few weeks ago, the first LTE device from the local mobile phone brand has arrived in my hub, another RNTD First. Here are my first impressions of the MyPhone Rio LTE

Here is the front and back portions of the box. Looks like they followed the motif of the recent Rio releases like the Rio Fun, Rio Craze and Rio Junior coz of the white background. I’m surprised that it is quite slim.

Here are the front and back portions of the device. It has 4.5 inch FWVGA display with the initial outer plastic covering, 2 MP front camera and the usual Android capacitive keys. The back has the 5 MP rear camera with flash, speaker grill & the MyPhone Rio LTE marking. The back cover has a glossy finish. It also reminds me of the Rio Craze’s back cover but with a more countour body which I will reveal later in the next paragraph

Here are the left and right portions. Nothing to expect on the left while on right side, you can see the volume rocker and the power/unlock button. Why I mentioned Rio Craze earlier? Coz the physical buttons are already attached to the back cover

And the top and bottom portions. The top has the 3.5 mm. audio jack which is CTIA complaiant. The bottom has the micro USB port and pin hole mic. There’s a surprise that I discovered, it’s USB OTG capable. Yey!

Aside from the phone, here are the other thing that you can expect inside the box. The usual suspects and good thing, it has 1 ampere charger.

Here’s underneath the device which revealed the micro SD slot and 1 micro SIM slot. Compared to the leaked info on MyPhone’s website, it has 2,000 maH battery compared to the earlier reports that it has 1,700 mah battery.

As of this moment, I will verify soon if this device will work on both Globe and Smart LTE sims so watch out for my review soon.

MyPhone Rio LTE official specs:

Single micro sim, LTE capable (LTE bands TBD)
Android 4.4.2 Kitkat
1.3 Ghz Mediatek MT6582 quad-core chipset, Mali 400 GPU
4. 5 inch FWVGA display
5 MP AF rear camera with flash, 2 MP front camera
1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM
WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio
USB OTG capable, CTIA complaiant for audio jack
