Last September 24, 2014, Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan tweeted something for a big announcement on September 26. I thought that it’s related to TV5 as there is “Kapatid” on that tweet until I got an invite from Smart at that same date.
Together with MVP and other big bosses from Smart and Sun Cellular, I knew that this is something big.
Until MVP revealed that all Smart Prepaid, Talk N Text and Sun Cellular prepaid subscribers can now access mobile internet for free until November 30, 2014 by texting FREE to 9999
Here are the rules: A person can have 30 MB per day. Minimum load balance of P1 for you to use the service. The registration will only last for 24 hours or until you already used up the 30 MB. It will work on data-capable features, Android, Windows Mobile and iOS devices. This will not work on streaming and torrent-based apps as you will receive a notification that normal browsing rates will apply. Once you already consumed the 30 MB, you will be prompted by Smart Safezone if you wish to register to their other mobile internet offers or go to normal browsing rates.
This is also applicable for Smart Bro prepaid and Smart Jump-In sim users although as of this moment, I can’t register to this service using my Smart Bro prepaid sim. Good thing, I have a Smart prepaid sim to fully utilize this service which I successfully registered.
