I’m still in a happy mood every time I remembered my encounter with Permex way back at Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair 2014. I also saw this product at their exhibit but I chose to buy this at a supermarket, the Permex Light Yellowfin Tuna.
Unlike the usual “plain tuna” which it comes with either vegetable oil or in brine, it comes in vegetable broth. I think they did this to add to the “light” variant”The color of the yellowfin tuna is more on the light pink side compare to their regular tuna variant. The taste of the tune is quite extraordinary from it’s competitors near it’s price point. I really felt the lightness but the goodness that it brought after I ate it. I just ate it straight with rice so that I can assess this product naturally.
The can looks like your typical liver spread size as it weighs 99 grams. A bit of a challenge in finding this as it is available in select supermarkets. In Muntinlupa, you can only buy this at Makati Supermarket inside Alabang Town Center at less than P30. It is a bit pricey compared to the leading brand but it is only one of it’s kind so the SRP is just right for me. I gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
