I will mix it up for my normal first impressions for this one as I’m lucky that I have the Cherry Mobile Ultra in my hub
For benchmarks, I got an impressive score of 17,884 on Antutu thanks to Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 processor and revealed it’s Adreno 305 GPU
For the multi-touch, it has the 5-point as I checked it and no colliding issues at the center.
For the sensors, all the highlighted features (accelerometer, light, orientation, proximity, gyroscope, sound and magnetic) are working fine which adds more value for Cherry Mobile’s 2nd LTE capable handset.
On CPU-Z, it is clear that it has MSM8226 quad-core chipset inside
On Quadrant, it has a score of 8549
And on Nenamark2, it got a nice 56.9 fps
I clarified on one of Cherry Mobile officials (as this was not given that much attention) that the Ultra doesn’t have either Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail but it has scratch resistant protection which I tried it on my long nails on purpose
Good news for those with 3rd party headphones and earphones as it is CTIA-complaiant. The downer that I disovered so far is the lack of USB OTG support.
That’s it for my initial review of the Cherry Mobile Ultra. Just wait for a few days or a week for my full review of this newest 4G capable smartphone from the local mobile phone brand.
