As
former guitarist Yan Yuzon already not in the line-up before end of 2012, Pupil
tried to search for a new guitarist .
Since
that said timeline, we watched 3 gigs of the band. 2 with Turbo Goth guitarist
Paolo Peralta (one was at Resorts World Manila last summer) and thru
Youtube a gig from a telco in Trinoma
but Ely Buendia was accompanied with 2 other guitarists.
Earlier
this morning, we checked Ely’s Instagram account (which is a regram from the
band’s manager Day Cabuhat) with the caption “Pupl with new guitarist Jerome
Velasco last night at Red Horse Muziklaban”. Last night, they had a gig for the
grand finals of the said gig.
Jerome
Velasco was already familiar as he was also one of the guitarists for The
Mongols and Teeth.
We
love the band’s latest album Limiters of the Infinity Pool album way back in
2011 and we look forward that for this new and steady line-up, Pupil will
continue to rock us and entertain us for more.
