though that we were not able to be at the launch last December 16, we had a
chance last week to visit the Smart Jump Center freely to check Smart’s newest
data plans for the new iPads. Good thing that you saw this post as you will see
more details that you might not see in some local tech blogs.
Both
the iPad Mini with Retina Display (see specs here) and iPad Air (see specs
here) are at only P1,499 per month for 24-month lock-in period (both at 16GB
model) . There is a P1,000 one-time cashout for the iPad Mini with Retina Display
and P5,000 one-time cashout for the iPad Air. Both carries 65 hours of Smart
LTE internet will Anti-Bill Shock guarantee
Smart iPad Air
For
both plans in case that you already exceeded the 65 hour limit, you will be
charged P2.50 per 15 mins. (so that is P10 per hour). Even that you only
exceeded 1-14 mins., they will still charge you P2.50 per 15 mins. In case that
you exceeded more than P500, they will only charge you an additional P500 as
the anti-bill shock guarantee comes in so will your bill will not exceed at
P1,999.
For
32 GB models for both iPads, you will only need to add P200 more per month so
that will be P1,699. Same cash-out requirements apply.

If you already got the newest Smart iPad plans, you will get free unlimited
Smart LTE until December 31, 2013 but you saw the signal went to 3g, HSDPA or
HSPA+ your 65 hour package will be deducted.
