It is located in National Road, Putatan, Muntinlupa (in front of Puregold Agro and within the same compound as Max's Restaurant), it is a unique place which you might think at first that this will be only be available in for example, Filinvest City or in Ayala Alabang parts.
Together with fellow bloggers Mrs. Cuyugan, Ruel Umali, Jinkee Umali and Sefh Guiterrez, we had a rundown of almost of the establishment's entire menu so we recommend you to also check their verdicts on the foods that they actually had a "taste" run on their own blog posts.
Qaldi uses Indian coffee and teas from Sri Lanka which is something new to us. While killing some time, we had a serving of hot red tea with simple syrup as their welcome treat to us. After we finished it off, we felt the natural therapautic effects of the tea which means a thumbs up approval.
For our menu, we had the black and white mocha for the hot coffee, iced Caramel Machiatto, a platter size of Classic Creamy Pasta and White Chocolate Almond cupcake.
For the Black and White Mocha hot coffee, it's unique and delicious coz it is a mix of coffee, chocolate and white chocolate. It's our first time to encounter this type of concoction for a hot drink. We chose the Saager size and all of their hot coffees are served with a biscotti which is also good.
Next stop is the Classic Creamy Pasta. For the pasta dishes, you can choose between solo and platter sizes. The platter size has add-ons of bread and either pan grilled chicken or frankfurters. As we choe the platter size, we already had the filling factor in it. The creaminess of the pasta is just right to the taste and bite. The herbs that were mixed in the chicken and the bread is also a-ok.
Then here comes their White Chocolate Almond cupcake. The dough itself is "siksik" so you can feel that there's no such air in it to make this bread a mouthful one. The amount of white chocolate dressing and almond is good enough to compliment this food.
For the cold drinks, we chose the Iced Caramel Machiatto. This has a different kind of taste compare to the Caramel Machiatto from the one that we got from a vending machine. It still has the right kick of coffee, creaminess and the caramel to suit us up. Another thumbs up for this.
Added info, the hot and cold coffee, shakes and other beverages there has two sizes, the Saager and Kabeer. Those are 2 Arabic words. Saager means small and Kabeer means big.
Bonus stage! We also tried the Blueberry Cheesecake mini cake and the revel and caramel bars. We had a slice of the said mini cake and you can tell the goodness of both the cream cheese and the blueberries on top. Our fellow bloggers also tried it and they had the the same verdict. Same goodness also for the caramel and revel bars.
We also had a look at these goodies:
For the place, the parking is ok. It is commute-friendly so you can go there via a jeep. We will post the details on how to get there below. The store opens everyday from 6:30am to 2:00am so that's a lot of time for you to set-up a meeting, a date or just to dine in. At the 2nd floor, they will also have function rooms that can accomodate up to 15 persons and a cyber cafe. All of the 2nd floor amenities will be available in January 2014.
For the overall grading, we will give the place a 4.5 out of 5. A must recommend for those who are looking for a new place to eat or to unwind. Like Qaldi at www.facebook.com/letsgoqaldi
