Earlier this week, Globe announced a great Christmas gift for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers as they will offer free Facebook access starting October 31 for 3 months. (Update: the free Facebook service started last October 25 as we were already registered)
Whether any mobile browser (even Opera Mini) or using Facebook app in any mobile OS, you can access it with no minimum load balance required. You can activate the said service by finding Free FB on *143# or texting FREEFB to 8888

We got additional info as we participated in Q and A. Based on the answers that we got from Globe officials, the free Facebook access can support posting in Facebook pages and groups including posting pics and videos (which is great compare to an existing free Facebook service which you can't do that). You can use the service even that you are currently registered to Go Sakto-based mobile net service, Powersurf and Supersurf. In addition, once you clicked on an external link (aside from the warning that you'll be charged oj clicking that link), Globe will tell you if you wish to loan P10 load for 10MB (if you don't have load) to access an external link. It will be deducted on your next top-up.
At the same night, Globe and Facebook donated P100,000 to Bilay National High School, one of the schools that were damaged by the recent earthquake in Bohol.
