My 22 month old feature phone at home recently can't function esp. on receiving calls and texts as well as the signal. During that time, it doesn't have a 3.5 mm audio jack so I decided to go for a new one.
Here comes Torque D5. Two of the reasons why I bought the phone are for it's up to 32 gb of micro sd capacity and probably one of the most affordable phones with that 3.5 mm audio jack at only P699. It's a steal for me coz I discovered more as I want to share with you.
MESSAGING
Aside that texting is ok with rubberish like keypad, I like that they used the left and directional keys as shortcuts. For example, I had a message today, August 14. In other phones, you'll have to press back button and find your August 13 texts. In this phone, I just have to push the right directional button
PHONE BOOK
It can separate as much as 10 different categories for customization. I only showed 4 in the picture
RADIO
You can store up to 40 different channels plus it has a recording function so that you can playback your fave FM radio shows. .wav is the type of file when saving your recordings. I tested a 255 sec. file and it only ate almost an MB but the file is clearer compared to others that saving is on .3gpp file
AUDIO PLAYER
You don't need to put your music files on My Music folder for this one. The system will auto detect your files and after the loading procedure, it's good to go. You can also set your fave song as a ringtone or create your own playlist as I had that in the pic
VIDEO PLAYER
As an advice, it can play 176 x 144 3gp or mp4 file but I'm surprised that it can also play 320 x 240 mp4 file. Just press 2 if you wish to watch it on full screen.
OTHERS:
I'm glad that the call clarity is a-ok whether I'm inside or outside. It has a flight mode which you can use in many ways like when you're already asleep. 2 missing features here are the ebook reader and bluetooth. Despite for it's 600mah only battery,it is a power efficienr device. It doesn't have internet or wifi connectivity which is ok to me for its price
