Finally, I got my Yahoo Purple Team Manila shirt

Also last Friday, I dropped by at the 99.5 RT studio to claim my Yahoo Purple Team Manila shirt which I won last month during Static Interferance. Good to know that despite a new schedule, the stuff that were in the booth were still there. I never had the time to participate in Yahoo Purple hunt finale that s why I had this interest to have that shirt. Special thanks to the accomodating staff of 99.5 RT.

Hope its gonna be all yellow on Ateneo-La Salle basketball game on August 9

I heard last Tuesday thru Mike Enriquez s morning radio show in DZBB that he got a text from an unknown texter telling to those who will watch the Ateneo-La Salle basketball game on August 9 at the Araneta Coliseum (specially to those Ateneans and La Sallians) to please wear yellow instead of blue or green as a symbol of unity and respect to our icon of democracy. Minutes later, I also found that message thru R.J. Ledesma s twitter (FYI Sir Mike is a La Sallian). Wednesday, I also heard this thru a 99.5 RT DJ.

Hope this will push through and also hoping for an interesting and quality kind of ballgame. Of course, I m gonna watch this on TV.

Long live (Mabuhay) to the 4 honor guards who stood at Pres. Cory s side

Rain or shine within that over 7 or 8 hours of travel from Manila Cathedral to Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Paranaque, they still stood tall. They were the 4 honor guards who were beside President Cory s coffin during the cortege.

Cory tributes and thank yous in my twitter (and as far as Singapore)

That Saturday morning of August 1, I woke up at past 5am as the 2 TV sets in our house were already on. I looked on the screen & I saw the sad news for our nation. Few minutes after I ate my breakfast, my twitter is starting to accumulate those Pres. Cory-related tweets until I came home at night. I got those very heartwarming tweets from Senators Pia Cayetano & Mar Roxas, the Magalona family, brewsters Van & Tiarra, Eat Bulaga host Pia Guanio, DJ Joshua of 99.5 RT and others who really shared some infos about Pres. Cory (via tweeting) that I didn t get in my elementary history books. Sen. Pia also mentioned that Pres. Cory was the headline in last Sunday s issue of Singapore Times.

Quite good timing for me that I attached my yellow twibbon last Friday.

Another new Brewrats radio plug unleashed

If you did not catch the first morning episode , they just played another radio plug for the show. Here it goes:

Imagine all (of us) brewsters in a battlefield and Tado as our commander. He just called all kinds of brewsters: brewho, brewha, brewhey and brewjay with that some simple message that we must support and defend the Brewrats republic. That popular chant from the film 300 adds up some spice in the plug. After Tado s part, it was DJ Ron Valentine s part to end up the plug.

Meanwhile, my greetings to the brewsters overseas as they were active in the show earlier. Hope someone will send a YM message and he/she say that he/she is tuning in via my blog site :)

Finally, I already heard the NEW Brewrats (teaser!) radio plug

Before I go to that topic, let me add my another expectation to the show starting tomorrow morning

Back to the topic, minutes ago before that hourly RT station ID plug, I heard that new radio ad for the Brewrats. Here it goes (almost) in full description:

The sound of tik-tilaok of a rooster in a morning then a voice came out SPREADING THE BOBO-NIC PLAGUE. The rooster did it again for the 2nd time as that voice again said YOUR RADIO IS NOT DEFECTIVE, ITS JUST US. The rooster did its thing for the last time.That voice ended the plug and said THE BREWRATS.

I heard the plug seconds before 10pm of August 2.

Things that I AM expecting in the Brewrats in the morning (off & on-air)

I am imagining these things as we brewsters will gonna have a change of lifestyle

1. Those who will participate in banging the phone are still yawning while on-air (& the banging itself will make him/her awake!)
2.(might be) no more men s magazine cover girls to guest in the show
3. Less chance of reading kinky emails
4. Some changes on the brewster s bribe to the 3 rats when they visit in the booth (you can t buy a bribe from the mall coz the show ends at 9am, mall opens at 10am)
5. More P.O.T. P. (people of the Phils.) will drop by at the booth with their parents.
6. More brewsters might drop by in their school uniforms
7. Hopefully, the 3 rats will be more punctual as they board always on time.

Let s see in the coming days & weeks if my expectations will be true.

Resiklo: One of my best local films so far now on free TV

Yes, I watched this film from the 2007 Metro Manila Film Festival. I got an interest to watch that film coz of the trailer, my interest on the CGI & what Sen. Bong Revilla said that it was the first Filipino film to have that Dolby 6.1 sound (instead of a normal Dolby 5.1 sound). I watched the film in one of the high-end cinemas of Festival Supermall (also known as Cinema Gold) & I really amazed on the sound and graphics. Story-wise, it was balanced and not corny at all specially those parts where Sen. Bong s action scenes while operating his own robot made of recycled materials. For the first time, you may see that on free TV. Catch the film later at around 10:30pm (or after Ful Haus) on GMA.

2009 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Annual Draft tomorrow

Catch new basketball talents as they step a notch higher in the pro ranks as the 2009 PBA Annual Draft will happen tomorrow, 3pm at Market Market Activity Center.

Some of the known prospects like Japeth Aguilar (played in Ateneo-UAAP & WKU- U.S. NCAA), Rico Maierhofer (DLSU-UAAP;Oracle-PBL), Jervy Cruz (UST-UAAP; Licealiz-PBL), Chris Ross (Pharex-PBL) and a bunch of others as they try to get a spot in any PBA team.

There will be also a telecast in CS 9 and Basketball TV at 6:00pm.

The missing Marvel vs Capcom 2 machine

Few days ago, I went to a mall somewhere in South NCR of course to play MvC2. I m suprised that one of the 2 MvC2 machines available in that mall is missing. The company who handles that machine has about numerous sub-branches around the mall aside that they had a main branch there. After I tried to find that machine from all of its sub-branches, I never saw a single clue on the whereabouts of that machine. I m concerned on that coz that is the only MvC2 machine in that place where I am comfortable to practice new combos unlike in the other machine that has been infested with hustlers ready to drop that token & challenge anytime. I m wishing that one particular company at least in NCR can offer 1 MvC2 machine strictly for any level.

Muse had their first radio airplay of their new single

After the hits Supermassive Blackhole and Starlight, Muse had their first radio airplay of their new single Uprising from their brand new album which it release soon. Hope the song will have it s Philippine radio premiere as soon as possible.
