Just earlier this afternoon, Rico Blanco announced something new from his Instragram account.

Smart and Deezer music app and partnership launched

One of the most known online audio streaming apps in the world, Deezer has introduced to the Filipinos with their partnership with the leading local telco, Smart.

Through the Deezer app, you can listen from over 30 million OPM and international tunes right to your mobile device. When you downloaded the app for the first time, you can have a free 15 day Premium+ membership which you can play your synced music without the need of the mobile internet.

Coz it was a launch party, this comes music and technology came in as this is one of my fave blog coverages this year (just like the Spinnr Indie launch which is also powered by Smart) . The event was started by interesting indie folk band The Ransom Collective then a 6-song set by Rico Blanco (as energetic as the Giordano gig), a 2-song performance by Urbandub and Pupil which they played 4 tracks including their latest(?), Out of Control. To cap it off, The Zombettes took care of of that nice DJ set.

As Smart currently opened the doors of the music app service to Postpaid subscribers, they bundled it with 30-day Smart Unlisurf LTE packages with calls and texts and a smartphone. Here are the offers and all plans mentioned below has a P175 bill rebate for the first 6 months:

Smart officials said they will come with a prepaid version of Deezer+ Premium subscription offers soon. For now, you can access the app using Smart Prepaid’s current line-up of available mobile internet offers. Don’t worry for those who are currently using the Spinnr app as it will still be available.

Deezer app is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone users for free.
