Gameplay at Caliburger Gemjump App: A Week After

This blog is quite happy with the ongoing collaboration with Caliburger for their ongoing worldwide app game challenge called Gemjump. If you kinda not having that much time on watching 2 of my previous FB Live sessions on the blog's Facebook page, here's my rundown after a week so far.

The first day of my visit at Timog Avenue branch was more of a pre-prod as I want to discover the limits of the app by putting in a number of entry level and midrange phones that I had. I discovered that the orientation sensor was the key as well as some of the key specs. The game did not work in a smartphone with Android 5.1 Lollipop, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB ROM and 1.3 GHz Speadtrum SC7731 quad-core processor. It worked at best and the star so far in my couple of FB Live sessions was another smartphone with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6735 quad-core, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM combo.

I discovered that you must have both a Facebook account (to use as your name as well as your profile pic to the game) and an email address for you to join. Prizes are quite enticing with 4 iPad Pro and be a global leader and win that US$10,000 . Good thing that Gemjump is available for both Android and iOS devices.

A visit to their only Philippine branch is a must-need as there will be always a new code for you to enter for every 3 minutes. The maximum of players that I saw and played simultaneously by that big LED wall at the resto at five.

The graphics are quite nice for this gaming app which occupies over 70 MB in internal storage. Like what I said, you really need to maximize the orientation sensor as this will be the key for you to move the gemball from one level up to another. If the gemball will step up in that green gem floor, it will jump up for a few notches which adds more score in your name. Just be careful when the gemball stepped in the red gem floor as it will break up easily. Your life is unlimited for the game for the entire 3 minutes of the game but time is gold as you will be respawned after 3 seconds which is vital if you want to beat the world leader. So far, the highest score is at 2,505. Each visit, you will only have 10 attempts per day and it will reset at 12:01 am the next day.

In the number of days that I played, I got a maximum of less than 1,200 which is not on the top 5 but at least on the top 100. You can also see the global rankings at caliburger.com/en/gemjump . Another discovery, if you top in a store in a day, you will win some Callibuger goodies. In my experience, I got a drink and a burger separately which you have to show that email with the code with the friendly Caliburger crew.

I had fun so far in playing Gemjump from Calliburger and you still have 3 more days to aim for that US$10,000 grand prize as this challenge will only last until October 9, 2016 so join and download the app now.
