We are getting a number of press releases from them and finally, I was able to be in a media gathering recentlywith the guys of one of the biggest online shopping site and app in the country, Shopee PH
Shopee was originally from Singapore and now conquered other Asian countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and now in the Philippines. In the opening remarks part, Shopee PH Head of Commercial Business Macy Castillo had a presentation from their 2016 performance and they got 3 million app downloads and they are constantly improving all aspects the business to cater to the increasing demands of their consumers
Around first half of last year, I saw them as more on lifestyle items but now there are a number of resellers of tech items which I usually saw in their own Facebook page and now on Shopee. I am amazed that there is one reseller (who also reselling their items at a competitior) but I noticed that one of their items is more affordable than in Shopee. There are three ways to create an account, via Facebook account, mobile number and email
Before the gathering, I already downloaded the Shopee PH Android app (they also have one for iOS devices) and they got a pretty good UI but I noticed that they have a bit slow loading time on 3G compared to the leading competitor's app. I go to talk more on Justine Cruz, their Campaigns Manager on the info that I am sharing right now.
The advantages of having a Shopee aside from being the shopper is you can also sell your new or pre-loved items and Shopee will have to claim your payment to them first before you sell it to the potential buyer to prevent bogus transactions. You can also earn reward points which is as simply as 1 peso equals one point. They are also offering free delivery nationwide for a minimum item purchases of Php 250. From their assessment, around 90% of the available items can be availed via cash on delivery. Of course, there are other payment options like credit card, Dragon Pay, bank deposit and others. One good thing about Shopee PH is you can chat to the seller direct on the app in case there ae some missing info or extra inquiries. On the logistics side, they have LBC Integrated, Black Arrow and Zoom Courier as their partners.
You can also shop via your computers at www.shopee.ph . I am testing this one up as I bought an item soon for review
