I got another #RNTDFirst for all you. I got a go signal to go Blackview Philippines offiice to check out their smartphone with monster battery. Here's the Blackview BV5000.
Here's the front and back portions of the box.
Front: 5 inch IPS HD display, 5 MP selfie camera, pin hole mic below, pre-applied screen guard
Back: 13 MP rear cam with flash, Blackview logo
Internals: Android 5.1 Lollipop, 1.0 GHz MT6735 quad-core processor, dual SIM (1 regular, 1 micro) micro SD slot, 5,.000 mAh removable Li-Po battery
On the left, you can check the power/unlock button while the opposite side has the volume rocker.
Top: OTG capable micro USB port, CTIA compliant 3.5 mm audio jack (covered with flap cover)
Bottom: Nothing
The box also included extra screen guard, screw driver and some screws, USB cord, OTG cable and 1 ampere charger which is different to the int'l version that I saw at 2 amperes output
Antutu scored at over 24,000. It has 5 point multi touch. LTE bands include bands 1, 3,7, 8 and 20. Internal memory was from Samsung. Working sensors based on my test are proximity, light, sound and accelerometer. Both cameras are at 4:3 aspect ratio. Both SIM slots have 4G connectivity (and 4G only which I like). My speedtest there was used by a Globe LTE SIM
And the camera samples from the main and selfie camera samples in that order
First impressions: The camera processing speed has around 1 second which is forgivable for the said SoC. It has customized icons but most of the UI inside are almost stock Android Lollipop. The weight is almost the same as Zenfone Max. I'm happy that it has LTE option in connectivity. My only concern is Blackview PH supplied a slower charger compared to their official website which has 2 ampered and promised to fully charge the device for 3.5 hours. They said that they will check my discovery about the charger.
Blackview BV5000 is now available in their kiosks and their dealers. If you'll gonna buy in their store directly, it comes with a free 8 GB micro SD until supplies last.
