Aside from the Gravity, they put in more phones in their conference room for unboxing. This was one of the surprise phones as I never it yet on their Facebook page plus they are now joining the parade on this particular SoC that I already saw this 2nd half of the year with other local brands.
Meet the BS Mobile Flubbi, first the front and back view of the box. At first, I thought that it was a dual-core phone but look on what I found later.
The front has 2 MP secondary camera, 5 inch FWVGA display and standard Android capacitive buttons. The back has 5 MP main camera with flash, BS Mobile and Flubbi markings and single speaker. The reality? It has 1.2 GHz Speadtrum SC8830 quad-core processor with Mali 400 GPU. Underneath is dual SIM (1 regular, 1 micro), micro SD slot, Android 4.4 Kitkat, 3G capable, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB ROM and 2,100 mAh removable battery.
Volume rocker and power/unlock button are all placed at the right portion. Not in the picture but the 3.5 mm. audio jack at the top, micro USB port at the bottom. No USB OTG support.
The standard essentials inside the box plus a glimpse of the main page and app drawer of the device.
On Antutu, it got a verified score of 16,585 which is not bad for this budget device. It might a downer for some gamers as it only has 2 point multi touch. I also provided what CPU-Z said.
On my first impressions, the cons for me are the 512 MB RAM and only over 1 GB of app storage out of 8 GB ROM (not unified storage just like in their Gravity phone). The pros for me is adequate 2,100 mAh battery capacity, device doesn't look cheap, solid feel and quite snappy upon going back and forth on a number of apps.
BS Mobile Flubbi is now available for Php 2,699 in BS Mobile kiosks around the country, can be ordered and delivered nationwide by sending a PM at their FB page at fb.me/bsmobilepage
