Oppo Mirror 5 launched, Sarah Geronimo as their first endorser, fiirst impressions, Antutu, specs, price

Oppo Philippines is really stepping up the game be more known in local smartphone market as they officially introduced their first endorser Sarah Geronimo and the Oppo Mirror 5.

The official Philippine release of Oppo Mirror 5 has the following specs: Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, 5 inch IPS qHD display, dual SIM (1 micro, 1 nano), Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 8 MP rear camera with flash, 5 MP front camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB OTG capable and 2,420 non-removable battery. Unfortunately, Oppo Philippines brought in the 3G only variant unlike in most countries (the latest before this one was in India that announced 5 days ago wherein the 4G capable Mirror 5 priced at Php 11,390+ if converted). Oppo Mirror 5's SRP here is at Php 9,990

Let's go to the Mirror 5's physical looks, camera samples, Antutu and camera samples:

Oppo Mirror 5 unverified Antutu score at 24,001

A glimpse of the Color OS 2.1

First impressions: In terms of physical looks, Oppo Mirror 5 is also a stand-out midrange phone like in Oppo Neo 5 with that diamond pattern design at the back. The smoothness of Color OS 2.0 that I had with the Neo 5 continues with this one with Color OS 2.1. Even with Ultra HD mode on it's rear camera, I checked that there's no such big difference in terms of camera quality versus the normal shot. 5 MP is also a-ok. Rear camera has f/2.2 aperture while it's f/2.0 at it's selfie camera. Fast camera shutter speed too but I'm a bit disappointed that I can only get these pics on 4:3 aspect ratio. Coz of that revelation that the PH release of Mirror 5 doesn't have LTE connectivity at Php 9,990, it will have some tough match-up for me. Some of my two main examples with the same processor, their own Mirror 3 (4.7 inch HD display, 1 GB/8 GB combo) at Php 8,990 and the Samsung Galaxy J5 (5 inch (5 inch HD display, 13 MP/5 MP cameras, 1.5 GB/8 GB combo, bigger 2,600 mAh battery) at the same price.
